At Jio, I was placed within a newly formed team that focused on developing a new cloud platform within India and Texas, USA called the Jio Edge Cloud. It was tackling two birds with one stone, the creation of a new cloud service provider and enabling cloud edge based telecom networks, a revolution when it comes to network speed. I made heavy use of open source community projects such as Apache Kafka, Apache Lucene and Openstack, to create my own plug-and-play data pipelines and search engines which were immediately deployed into production.
